BURNET COUNTY, TX (KXXV) -

A Central Texas police department said they're running out of patrol cars after two of them were rear-ended in just four days.

The Bertram Police Department in Burnet County posted a photo of one of the damaged patrol cars on Facebook.

Both crashes happened on HWY 29.

An officer was hurt in the first crash. An alleged drunk driver ran into the patrol car in the second crash.

The department said they're having to use some old patrol cars for now and might need to borrow some from the Houston Police Department until these two damaged patrol cars get repaired or replaced.
