Firefighters and police are on the scene of a fire on FM 3148, also known as Moonlight Drive, in Robinson.

Robinson Fire Chief Gerald Groppe said the house was fully engulfed when crews arrived on scene. Groppe is not sure how long the fire has been going for.

The home is in the 2600 block of Moonlight Drive.

No one was at the home. Groppe said the fire marshal is trying to find out who owns the home.

A News Channel 25 reporter on the scene said she could see the flames and smoke from at least a mile away.

Drivers might want to avoid the area to make room for emergency vehicles as it is a two-lane highway with no shoulder.

Both sides of Moonlight Drive are closed and are being patrolled by Robinson police.

Groppe said he expects crews to be at the scene for a few more hours.

This is a developing situation. Check back for updates.
