WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks are back on the road in Week 10 of the Indoor Football League season. They'll visit the Colorado Crush Friday night, with the kickoff set for 7 p.m. (Central Time).

The Nighthawks (7-1) enter with the league's second-best record, while the Crush (1-6) have one of the worst.

But the Nighthawks know better than to underestimate a team that beat them twice last season.

"I will say that they're going to bring a physical and fast defense," said wide receiver and running back Tyler Williams. "We've got to prepare with our running ability and our passing scheme, and our defense has got to be ready."

"They're actually playing physical," said receiver Tyron Laughinghouse, who will miss the game after being placed on short-term IR this week. "They're playing with their heart. They've got eight guys out there that really believe that they're gonna win, so that's all that matters. If you believe it, it's going to happen."

The Nighthawks offense was clicking on all cylinders in their 81-52 win Saturday over Cedar Rapids. They put up 279 yards of offense, well over their already IFL-leading season average. Charles McCullum threw 9 touchdown passes, while Williams added a touchdown on the 2nd half opening kickoff, and the defense returned a pick-6.

"I think the offense is doing pretty good," Laughinghouse said. "Everybody is running their routes, quarterback is finding his reads, and our running backs are hitting the hole. The O-line is really doing good. They're pulling well on the run plays, and they're giving Chuck [McCullum] at least 5-6 seconds. So they're doing great."

"I think we're jelling well," Williams said. "Our offensive line is playing tremendous, our quarterback is doing great, and our receivers are running great routes. So we're looking pretty good right now."
