If you live in certain parts of Temple, you will want to boil your water prior to drinking it or cooking with it until further notice.

A City of Temple news released said the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality issued the notice Friday because of a loss of system pressure.

Crews are repairing an eight-inch waterline break in the 600 block of South 3rd Street. That reduced water pressure for those living in the 100 to 300 blocks of South 7th Street, 100 to 300 blocks of West Avenue F, 600 to 720 blocks of South 1st Street, 100 to 300 blocks of West Avenue H, and 100 to 300 blocks of West Avenue G.

The news release said the city would notify you when the boil water notice ends.

If you have questions, call the city’s utility department at (254) 298-5611. If you call after business hours, leave a message and someone will call you back as soon as possible.
