The Falls County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drowning at the Old Marlin City Lake, north of Marlin.
Officials responded to Old Marlin City Lake off Highway 6 on a call at 5:48 p.m.
After searching the lake for nearly 30 minutes, they recovered the body of a man who had been fishing with a friend. That friend is okay, but they weren't sure how the drowning victim ended up in the water.
