Police have identified the woman who was killed last night after getting out of a vehicle near Highway 84 and Aviation Parkway.
According to Waco Police, 36-year-old Rachel Crain was in a vehicle with her family when she decided to get out from the SUV.
Crain ended up lying in the roadway, and a driver heading the opposite direction saw the woman on the road but wasn't able to stop in time, running over and killing her.
The driver of the pick-up truck immediately stopped and attempted to revive Crain, but failed.
It is believed that alcohol use by Crain may have played a part in her death.
Waco Police’s investigation is on-going.
