MERIDIAN, TX (KXXV) -

Meridian Police arrested a man and a woman over the weekend after they tried to solicit what they thought was a 15-year-old girl, but ended up being a Meridian Police Department officer.

Gregory Keesee and Claudia Kopacka were arrested Saturday, and are charged with online solicitation of a minor, after police say they drove from Southern Oklahoma to meet with who they thought was a child.

Police said Keesee is in the military.

Meridian police say an officer made contact with the two on a cell phone social media app and arranged to meet Keesee and Kopacka at a local gas station.

Police arrested the two when they showed up.

Police say these are the fifth and sixth arrests of this nature.
