Police arrest man accused of damaging post office boxes

COPPERAS COVE, TX (KXXV) -

Copperas Cove Police said they have arrested a man for damaging 21 post office boxes on March 20. 

The initial investigation showed that the post offices were damaged and appeared to be pried open. One of the damaged boxes was used by the City of Copperas Cove. 

A large amount of mail and checks have been recovered. 

Police said that 28-year-old Jesse Kissel was charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. 

Kissel was served the warrant on March 24 at the Coryell County Jail where he was in custody for unrelated charges.

Kissel remains at the jail and received a 20,000 surety bond.
