The man Freestone County deputies were searching for was found Friday evening.

Deputies responded to the 1200 block of FCR 930 for a assault and family violence call at 7 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, a man, Charles Fortson, was aggressive with deputies and was armed with a flag pole as a weapon. Fortson dropped the weapon and ran away.

Fortson was wanted for a parole violation.

FCSO said the man was seen in the area of FCR 930 between FM 1366 and Limestone County.
