NEW YORK (KXXV) -

The season has come to an end for the Baylor men's basketball team as they lose to South Carolina 70-50. The Bears fell behind by as much as 17 points in the 1st half and couldn't recover. Baylor struggled offensively as the South Carolina defense forced the Bears to shoot 25 percent from the field.

Baylor took a two point lead with 10:33 remaining in the first half, but couldn't make a basket for a long stretch of the game and allowed the Gamecocks to go on an 18-0 run.

Baylor season ends in the Sweet 16 for the 2nd time in the last 4 seasons. Despite the early exit, the Bears still made history this season with 4 wins over AP Top 10 teams and a number one ranking in January. The Bears finish the season with a 27-8 record.
