Highlassies receiving votes in latest NJCAA poll

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

The McLennan Highlassies are receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings released today. Butler (Kansas) continues to rank first followed by Chipola (Florida) in second and Florida SouthWestern State in third.

Midland (seventh), Tyler (ninth), Ranger (12th), Weatherford (13th), San Jacinto (15th) and Odessa (18th) are the other Texas teams ranked in the poll.

The Highlassies have an overall record of 22-10 and are 6-4 in conference play. They host Cisco in a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader tomorrow at Bosque River Ballpark.

"We've tried to stay in touch with guys, but there's been a lot of people that have been out knocking on doors and going into home visits, and stuff.
