No. 1 seed Baylor defeats No. 9 seed Cal in second round of NCAA Tournament

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

The No. 1 seed Baylor Lady Bears are officially Sweet 16 bound. The Lady Bears defeated the Cal Golden Bears in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, 86-46.

At the half, Baylor lead by 20, and that momentum continued throughout the rest of the game. Cal only scored 20 in the first half, the fewest points the Golden Bears have scored all season.

The Lady Bears will be heading to the sweet 16 for the 9th consecutive season, and 12th overall.
