Kiddos, ages five through 13 got to go to football and cheerleading camp today for free.

But that didn't stop some of their parents from opening up their wallets for a good cause.

A local non-profit organization called "K-Town Raptors," put on the free camp. They raised just over 1,000 dollars.

"It was a donation camp and when will turn around and give all the donations to Mclane Children's Hospital," Redzone member, Anthony Kendrick said,

"A lot of parents don't have a lot of income and so they can't do stuff on spring break, but this is something can look forward to," Kendrick added. "The bottom line is that it's all about the kids, like that whole saying my grandma use to say 'it takes a village to raise the kids.' "
