Waco Police Department is advising drivers to avoid an area in Waco after a sinkhole appeared Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the sinkhole developed at 41st Street and Hillcrest.
Police have closed down the area and tell drivers to take alternate routes.
The City of Waco said that the cause of the sinkhole is believed to be because of the collapse of a deep storm sewer.
The repair is expected to take anywhere from 8-10 days.
