Killeen Police have made an arrest in the death of an infant.

Police said they were called to the 2900 block of Zephyr Rd. on Feb. 18. They were told a 3-month-old infant was unresponsive and not breathing.

Upon arrival, police immediately began performing CPR on the baby boy until the Killeen Fire Department paramedics arrived.

The baby was transported to McLane Children’s Hospital.

The infant was pronounced dead on Feb. 24 by Justice of The Peace David Barfield.

Police believe that the suspect, Zachary Kadetz, 21, had intentionally caused injuries to the infant.

Kadetz was arrested on March 24 and charged with injury to a child. His bond is set at $1,000,000.
