A Waco man is okay after losing control of his car near I-35 and loop 340, and crashing it into a cement pillar.
The man was driving south on the I-35 access road around noon when he tried to take the turnaround and lost control of his vehicle.
He drove up on the sidewalk and slammed into a cement pillar under the interstate.
His car then caught fire, but he was able to escape the wreck without any injuries.
Bellmead Police and Firefighters responded to the scene, and were able to put the fire out quickly.
No one else was involved in the crash.
