TEMPLE, TX (KXXV) -

A Temple school went into a hard lockdown after reports of a student bringing an airsoft pistol to campus.

According to Kristina Carter, principal of Travis Science Academy, the lockdown happened just after dismissal.

There had been a report of a student bringing an airsoft pistol on campus. The school's Resource Officer immediately removed the student from class. The school was placed under hard lockdown.

A second airsoft pistol had been found in the student's backpack, which violates Temple ISD's student code of conduct.

No students were in danger at any time, according to the district.
