Baylor Football’s Game at TCU Moved to Friday, Nov. 24

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Baylor’s 2017 football game at TCU has been moved to Friday, Nov. 24, the Big 12 Conference announced Thursday.

Originally the game had been slated for Saturday, Nov. 25, but the change will allow for a national television audience to watch the contest on the day after Thanksgiving. The TV network and time for the broadcast will be decided at a later date.

The game against the Horned Frogs is one of five true road games and the last regular season contest the Bears will play in 2017. Baylor will host six games, including Homecoming on Oct. 21, in McLane Stadium. A 12th regular-season game, the annual Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Shootout vs. Texas Tech, will again be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Dates for games are subject to change for television purposes, and kickoff times will be announced at a later date.

Baylor has lost two straight games to TCU after the historic 61-58 victory in 2014. TCU now leads the all-time series 53-52-7, but the teams have split the last six meetings. Baylor trails 22-18-1 in games played in Fort Worth.

The Bears finished the 2016 season as Motel 6 Cactus Bowl champions (31-12 win over Boise State), their school-record seventh straight bowl appearance. BU signed a top-40 ranked recruiting class this spring and will open the first season under head coach Matt Rhule on Sept. 2 at McLane Stadium vs. Liberty.
