The Killeen Independent School District said Fowler Elementary School was in an external lockdown around 9:45 a.m. on Friday.
The lockdown was initiated because local law enforcement were responding to an incident near the campus.
Classes have resumed, and the district has lifted the lockdown after receiving the all clear from law enforcement.
The district said students and staff are safe in their classrooms.
