A 17-year-old boy was in the Bell County Jail Thursday, accused of strangling his girlfriend.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim told police Christian Thomas-McCraney "climbed on top of her, placed both hands on her throat, and began to choke her."

The victim told police it happened during an argument in November 2016.

"I don't care if you die, I don't care if I go to jail no more," Thomas-McCraney allegedly told the victim while choking her, the affidavit showed.

An officer observed red marks on the victim's face and neck.

Thomas-McCraney was arrested and booked into the Bell County Jail on Thursday. His bond was set at $50,000.
