The Department of Public Safety said two people are dead after a near head-on collision at 2580 Old Lorena Rd. The accident happened Wednesday around 2 p.m.
Troopers said a 1995 Chevrolet pick-up pulling a small utility trailer, driven by Brian Adam Lopez, 47, was traveling north in the southbound lane for some unknown reason.
A 2014 Honda CRV, driven by a 73-year-old woman, was traveling south and was struck by the pick-up.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS officials say they area still working to notify the family of the Honda driver, so her name is being withheld.
