Temple Police said that a man robbed the IHOP on 3913 Bell Dr. Tuesday morning.
Officers said a man entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from IHOP and patrons.
The suspect fled the scene after receiving the money.
A Bell County Deputy observed the suspect running across I-35, and the suspect was arrested.
He was identified as 30-year-old Dervish Banks. He was later transported to the Bell County Jail.
