Copperas Cove residents are looking forward to a Christmas parade but hope that weather doesn't cancel it again.

Last month, the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce announced they couldn't fund the parade and several businesses joined together to fund the parade.

Employees at Doggie Day Spa were getting the decorations for their float ready Thursday night. They were also putting the finishing touches on the costumes they plan to wear during the parade.

"It's just a lot of prepping before Krist Kindl actually starts this weekend," Sylvia Smith, co-owner of Doggie Day Spa, said. "We're just so glad we were able to raise the funds so that it could happen and that the city council finally came in and said we're going to help out after all."

The parade is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 3rd. The Krist Kindl Markt begins Friday, December 2nd. Organizers say the Krist Kindl Markt will happen rain or shine.
