The Bellmead Police Department is investigating a wreck in which a car hit a pedestrian Monday night.
An officer on the scene says 71-year-old Herbert Grider was crossing the street in the 3600 block of Bellmead Drive around 7:45 p.m. when a car hit him. The man, who police say is from out of state, died at the scene.
Investigators continue to look into the accident and haven't decided if the driver who hit Grider should face any charges.
