Speegleville Park will remain open throughout the entire year.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) representatives at Waco Lake made the announcement that Speegleville Park will no longer close on Nov. 1. Camping and boat launching will continue to be offered.

For information on campsite reservations visit recreation.gov or call 877-444-6777.

USACE also announced Airport Park and the Waco Lake Hike and Bike Trail across the Waco Lake Dam will be closing temporarily to complete construction projects. The Hike and Bike Trail closure is expected to last two weeks, but other construction projects scheduled for next year will affect future openings and closings.

Per Public Affairs Specialist Clay Church, “the Waco Lake Project Office advises all lake visitors to observe restricted area signage.  Any persons accessing closed areas will be asked to leave and/or cited.”
