A vehicle fire has shut down northbound lanes of Interstate 35 south of Salado.
A box truck fire has shut down the lanes until the fire is out at FM 2115 at mile marker 282.
The black smoke has severely limited visibility in the area.
The backup is one to two miles. Access roads are open in the area for alternate routes.
