A man was hit and killed Saturday afternoon while trying to cross the street in Temple.
It happened just before 5:20 p.m. in the 3100 block of South 31st Street.
Police said the man was attempting to cross the street on his motorized scooter when a driver turning left out of the Scott & White Medical Center Temple parking lot and onto South 31st Street hit him.
An ambulance transported the man to Scott & White Medical Center Temple.
He died from his injuries at the hospital.
The Temple Police Department is investigating the incident.
Police did not release the identity of the man who died.
