Highlassies come up short against Coastal Bend

The McLennan Highlassies came up short in this afternoon's game at the Temple Classic, falling to the Coastal Bend Lady Cougars 59-49.

McLennan trailed Coastal Bend 19-13 after the first quarter but bounced back to take the 34-26 lead at halftime. The Highlassies continued to pull away in the third, leading 46-32 heading into the final period. The Lady Cougars out scored McLennan 27-3 in the fourth quarter to steal the win. 

Patricia Daily led the Highlassies with 14 points and Velma Mitchell added 11.
