Baylor Baseball Begins 2016 Sic’em Omaha Challenge Saturday

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

Baylor baseball will host its annual Sic’em Omaha Challenge (formerly the Green-Gold World Series) over the next two weeks.  The best of five intrasquad series will take place at Baylor Ballpark and is free and open to the public.

The series starts this weekend with games on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT and Sunday at 1 p.m.  The challenge will resume next week with games on Nov. 17 at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 1 p.m.

Both teams will feature a pair of player/managers.  The Kodiaks will be headed by manager Kyle Ott and assistant coach Matt Menard, while the Grizzlies will be led by manager Troy Montemayor and assistant coach Andy Thomas.  Rosters for both squads are below.
