The Bell County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team is currently clearing the scene at what was believed to be a standoff in Temple.
Authorities said they received a call around 4:30 p.m. about a stolen trailer and a man barricaded himself in a building at Charter Oak Drive and Riverside Trail.
Belton Police had found the missing trailer at a home located on Charter Oak Drive and Riverside. When they knocked on the door, no one answered.
A negotiator had been called in to try to contact the person they believed was in the home. Police discovered the suspect had a felony warrant out for his arrest.
When police were able to get into the house, there was no one in the home.
Police are not releasing the suspect's name.
