(CNN) - A self-driving beer truck recently completed a delivery.

The beer truck was created by Otto, a self-driving technology company.

The company says it recently completed the world's first delivery by a self-driving truck.

Working with beer giant Anheuser-Busch, Otto hauled more than 50,000 cans of Budweiser from Fort Collins, CO, to Colorado Springs, CO, a 120 mile journey on the interstate.

A professional driver on the trip monitored the self-driving system.

Otto says it hopes its technology will allow long-haul truck drivers to rest while their vehicles continue to drive and make money for them.
