A 7-year-old child was hit by a car while getting off the bus in Temple.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at the Temple Midway Mobile Homes.
The bus had opened the sign to tell drivers to stop. One car maneuvered around the stop sign and hit the child.
The child was brought to McLane Children’s Hospital with unknown injuries.
The car drove off, but police were able to find the suspect. The suspect is now in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
