A two-year-old is in the hospital after police say a woman hit the child and fled the scene.
College Station Police said that the child was playing with other children near the 900 block of Navarro St at 5:16 p.m.
The child wandered into the roadway and was hit by a car that was driving westbound on Navarro St.
The driver of the car was driving a gold or silver sedan and was described as having dark hair and approximately 25-30 years of age.
The child was taken to College Station Medical Center and the case is under investigation.
