A Brazos Valley man was arrested after a head-on crash left a woman dead in Bryan Monday night.
According to the Bryan Police Department, 46-year-old Robert Spurger, of Bryan, was driving his Ford F-150 the wrong way down an exit ramp on Highway six near Tabor road when the pickup collided head on with Jeep Compass around 8:30pm. Bryan PD says Spurger was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and transported to St. Joseph Hospital.
The driver of the Jeep Compass, 53-year-old Maria Canelaria Ramirez, also of Bryan, died while being transported to St. Joseph Hospital.
Northbound and southbound lanes of highway six were closed for several hours following the crash.
