Shoppers will not be able to shop at a Waco mall on Thanksgiving.

Stephen Lebovitz, the President and CEO of CBL & Associates Properties, Inc, announced that Richland Mall, located on W. Waco Drive, will be one of the several shopping centers run by the organization that will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.

“We’re happy to announce that our malls will be closed this year on Thanksgiving and will open for Black Friday at 6 a.m. We want you to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends and come fresh and excited to spend Black Friday with us,” said Lebovitz in a statement.

Several stores nationwide hold sales for Black Friday with some beginning as early as Thanksgiving evening.

Larger department stores with separate entrances may choose to stay open, but the mall will remain closed.
