Firefighters work to put out house fire in Bellmead

BELLMEAD, TX (KXXV) -

Firefighters are working to extinguish a house fire in Bellmead. 

The call came in around 4:30 p.m on the 1000 block of Hogan Lane. 

Multiple agencies responded to the fire and one person was treated for smoke inhalation. 

There are no injuries and no one is believed to be inside of the house. 

Firefighters are beginning the investigation. 

Preliminary investigation leads officials to believe the fire started in the common garage area. 

The fire and smoke damage was mainly in the attic and water damage was found in the main living area. 

One person was taken to a local hospital with smoke inhalation.
