Another scam attempt to gain access to citizens’ banking information was recently reported to The Bryan Police Department.
Bank customers are receiving a text message requesting them to call a particular number. Once called, they will receive an automated message informing the customer to enter their banking account information.
Bryan Police are calling this is an old scam with a new twist. Be aware that this is an attempt to gain banking account information in order to create fraudulent activity. Do not call the listed number should you receive one of these text messages.
Your bank will not contact you for your information, as they already have it. Please direct any questions regarding your bank account to your local branch.
