WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A man is accused of pretending to be a Waco Police Detective at a karaoke bar over the weekend.

Waco Police said they received a call saying a man was trying to stab another man with a throwing dart at 811 karaoke in the 800 block of Wooded Acres.

The man, 26-year-old Douglas Scott II, only managed to scratch the other man on the neck.

As people at the bar were holding him down, workers said Douglas told them he was a detective and that police would use a taser on them.

Douglas was arrested and booked in the McLennan County Jail. He has been charged with aggravated assault and impersonating an officer.
