BELTON, TX (KXXV) -

University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football player Bryce Wilkerson has been named American Southwest Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Cru’s 59-10 victory at Howard Payne University on Saturday. UMHB has now had at least one ASC Player of the Week following each of the team’s five victories.

Wilkerson, a junior kick returner and wide receiver from Tyler Lee High School, scored on a 40-yard punt return to give the Cru a 21-0 lead late in the first quarter. It was his third total kick return for a score this season. Wilkerson finished with three returns for 46 yards and he added five receptions for 34 more yards.
