Everyone is ready for cooler weather and it is coming, just not this week. Summer is going to hang on this week with unseasonably hot temperatures.
The forecast on Monday calls for high temperatures around 99 degrees. Yes you read that right. It won't be a record high, that is 104 degrees set back in 1956. When you factor in the high humidity, it will feel much hotter than that with heat indices between 100 and 104 degrees.
Make sure you take it easy if you work outdoors. Drink lots of water, wear sun screen, and take frequent breaks. Follow those summer heat wave tips.
Fall officially begins Thursday and there are some changes coming next weekend. Rain chances begin Friday and go up by Saturday and Sunday. A cold front will move through sometime Sunday and temperatures will cool off back to normal values. There is always some uncertainty when looking at the weather this far out so count on some adjustments.
