Madison County sheriff's deputies found a "badly decomposed" body in a pasture on Saturday, according to the sheriff's office. The preliminary results said the body was a female ranging in age from 2 to 5 years.

The sheriff's office said that there are no tool marks or signs of trauma.

However, the results showed that a medical apparatus commonly used for tube feeding was found inside the body. The Southern Western Institute of Forensic Science lab believes this means the child has a medical history.

In a Facebook post, the Madison County Sheriff's Office said deputies found the body in a pasture near the 7800 block of I-45 southbound about 4 p.m. Saturday.

The case is still opened and has been ruled as a homicide.

The information which has been obtained at this time, will be entered into the national database for missing children and in state clearing houses.
