A student is facing criminal charges after bringing a gun and ammunition to school.
According to North Zulch ISD, students notified staff when a letter was discovered stating that a student had a gun and had also brought ammunition.
The student was taken to the office for questioning. The weapon was found in the student’s backpack.
No students were in imminent danger the school district says.
The student could face criminal charges for violation of weapons on school grounds and will be subject to disciplinary action from the school district as well.
