Man surrenders to police after barricading himself inside home

KEMPNER, TX (KXXV) -

The man who barricaded himself inside his home in Kempner has surrendered to police. 

Christopher Gleave, 38, was arrested on a family violence charge. He will have a mental evaluation on Tuesday morning.

Bell County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Donnie Adams said a man had barricaded himself in his home off of Boyse Ranch Rd. in Kempner Monday evening.

Police said he fired off a shotgun.

A perimeter was been set up around the home.
