One man is in jail after police say he choked his significant other.
McLennan County Sheriff’s Office say the assault happened around 1:45 a.m. Friday on the 200 block of Forest Creek in Bruceville-Eddy
According to police, the victim was visiting Jose Rivas Soliz when she tried to leave, he hit and choked her. The victim was attempting to fight back while the assault happened say police.
Soliz let the victim leave and she knocked on doors until someone opened and called the police.
Soliz is being held at McLennan County Jail and is charged with assault.
