The College Station Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a bicyclist and a city sanitation truck at the corner of Aryshire St. and Angus.
The garbage truck struck the woman while she was riding her bicycle in the area. The woman died at the scene.
The woman was 21-year-old Alannah Ritch. Ritch was a Texas A&M University student. She was from San Marcos, TX.
The accident happened around 11 a.m.
The road was closed for four hours. The case is still under investigation.
