An officer was dragged through a Walmart parking lot in Bryan on Saturday.

Bryan police received a call saying there were five children between the ages of 3 and 6 left alone in a vehicle with the windows rolled down.

When an officer approached the vehicle, the driver, Keoisha Victoria Burleson, 23, began to drive away.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but was dragged through the parking lot. The vehicle struck a parked vehicle while the officer was still being dragged.

The officer was eventually thrown from the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

He was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where he was treated and release.

During the assault, the officer’s body camera was ripped off by the suspect. Police believe the suspect discarded the camera somewhere.

They are asking that if anyone finds a body cam to return it to the Bryan Police Department.

Burleson is wanted by Bryan Police and is charged with Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant and two counts of Endangering a Child.
