The Bell County District Attorney's Office has charged the suspect in a standoff at a Temple church with Terroristic Threat.

The suspect was 35-year-old Destiny Gregg Suydam.

Suydam was transported to Bell County Jail after he was evaluated for injuries at Baylor Scott and White Hospital.

The church, First United Methodist Church, is located on the 100 block of N. 2nd Street.

Police said that a call came in around 7:30 Wednesday evening, after that man walked into the church threatening to hurt others and himself.

According to police, a hostage negotiator and S.W.A.T team were on site. Police have not confirmed if Suydam had any weapons.
