Baylor Athletics Announces Football Uniform Fan Vote

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

For the first time, Baylor football fans will have a say in what uniform the Bears will wear in their 2016 season opener against Northwestern State on Sept. 2.

Starting Friday, officials will unveil three options across Baylor’s social media platforms and fans have until Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 5 p.m. to vote for their favorite option.

Option A includes the black helmet, a green jersey and black pants, while option B is a gold helmet, green jersey and gold pants and finally option C includes the green helmet, green jersey and white pants.

On Twitter, @BUFootball, will run a poll and fans can vote in that poll to cast their opinion. On Instagram, @BUFootball, fans can like the post containing their uniform choice. Meanwhile on Facebook (BaylorAthletics), fans should like to vote for their top option as well.

Votes between the three social media platforms will be added up to determine the winner. Fans are encouraged to vote on all three social media sites.

The winning uniform combination will be announced Thursday, Aug. 25, and then the Bears will wear those colors on Sept. 2 when they take on Northwestern State at 6:30 p.m. at McLane Stadium.

Uniforms - Helmet | Jersey | Pants
Option A: Black | Green | Black
Option B: Gold | Green | Gold
Option C:  Green | Green | White
