56-year-old man leads police on chase in Bell County

A 56-year-old man led officers on a chase that ended in a crash on Tuesday.

A Bell County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to pull over Thomas Tutor for a minor traffic violation near U.S. 190 and George Wilson Road. Tutor fled, and the deputy lost contact with his vehicle.

Tutor drove through an intersection where the deputy was parked at. The deputy attempted to pull Tutor over again.

Tutor fled to Belton where he crashed into a vehicle at the intersection of North Main St and 2nd Ave.

As the deputy approached the scene, Tutor ran on foot. The deputy caught Tutor and stopped him using a taser.

Belton Police and Fire Department responded to the crash.

There were no reported injuries in the vehicle that was struck
