17-year-old Anthony Dorsett of Harker Heights drowned at the popular Austin swimming destination on Friday.

According to a Travis County Sheriff's Department press release, at 10:20 a.m. deputies responded to Hamilton Pool to search for a missing swimmer.

When they arrived, Dorsett was located and was receiving CPR.

He was eventually airlifted to UMC Brackenridge where he died the next morning.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office determined the teen died from the lack of oxygen to his brain which is a result of drowning.

Although they wouldn't confirm his name or what high school her went to, the Killeen Independent School District sent out a press release Monday stating a student from the district passed away. They sent condolences to the family and will have counselors on hand for students and staff.

A funeral service is planned for Thursday, Aug. 18 at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights at 11 a.m.
